| Subject: Going back to Canada after 17 years |

I lived in Canada since 1968 but had to return to my native country of Turkey for manditory militery service which lasted close to 20 months. I did not return to Canada since 1993 but am a landed immegrant and still have the stustus and not been informed that it has been revoked. The embasy here rejected me of a tourist visa but says ý must apply for a travel documment and the they will burn my status in Canada and must apply for a appeal to get it back.. what can I do

Your best option is to find ways of making a livelihood in Turkey. Please explore employment chances in your own country. Good luck.

You are done. 20 months is not 17 years.
