| Subject: 730 days minimum count might be changed |

I took the advice of one of the members (Advisor) and communicate the issue of the silly 730 minimum days, i.e. the required count to keep PR status valid, with a high ranking federal figure. It was made clear to me that this issue is not new, and the Government has received thousands of appeal transactions during the past few years to ease this requirement, and it is taken seriously, and am further confirmed that this might be a call for review in an aim for ease, subject to certain legal related matters are in place.
I am so happy to know that this issue has been already considered by concerned authorities, and further happy to know that there is a chance to relax this requirement.
Just wanted to share the good news with the forum, and especially with those who wanted this to happen…

Why exactly does it need to be changed?
730 days in 5 years + mechanism for retention on H & C grounds not fair and reasonable enough?
Isn´t the point behind applying for PR status is so one will take permanent residence in that country?
