Hello,
I am a Canadian citizen. I applied to sponsor my husband (who lives in Mexico)to Canada a year ago. He passed an interview on June 1st and since then IC sent him a letter saying that it will take 4 more months because they had priorities in issuing visas at the moment (I was so confused!!! isn´t family class supposed to be the priority class????.) My husband cannot visit me because they will not give him a visa (he has a clean criminal record!!!). I do not wish to return to Mexico because it is extremely dangerous to go there right now (IC seems to think that life in Mexico is like staying in a 5 star resort!!!). People have been killed by druglords in my husband´s neighborhood!! If you are not involved in the drug business it seems you are not targeted but all it takes is to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. My mother is very afraid for me to go there to visit him. I am 29 and I want to start a family. I have contacted immigration Canada through e-mail and they do not answer me!! Is there an office I can go to? the 4 months have passed now and I have heard nothing from them. I am so frustrated and I am scared something will happen to my husband....Anyone have any advice?

honestly you just need to wait--and when you have finished waiting then wait some more--the immigration beurocracy is extremely slow---i have been married for 3 years now and my wife is still not here--the whole process is a travesty
