Hi, I am a New Zealander living and working in Canada with my Canadian Partner. We have been together 15 months but living together for 10. I want to know the quickest and best way for me to get pr. We have been talking about marriage, does that make it more likely our application would be accepted? Then our next issue would be where to apply from. My work permit expires in March however due to certain issues with my job it is not my wish to stay doing it. I cannot work anywhere else in Canada so we have discussed moving to Nz for a year while we sort out the PR. Can we still apply if both of us are living outside of canada? Can I apply from NZ and then come back to Canada and continue working on my current work permit until expiry if needed? If we apply from inside Canada is it true I can get a temporary open work permit 3 months after applying for PR? Sorry to have so many questions, we just really want to understand what our best option is so we can start making arrangements. Thank you in advance for your assistance. Miranda
