I am a Canadian Citizen by birth living in the US. I am planning on moving back to Canada in May 2011 with my children and my American husband. I am in the process of completing the Permanant Resident application for my husband to immigrate to Canada under the Family Class process.
My husband underwent a physical yesterday at a designated doctor and was told that he as high blood pressure, everything else was OK. He is getting treament for his now and it´s under control. My question is: will his application be rejected or refused due to this medical diagnoses?

(in reply to: Medical) No - his application won´t be refused/rejected due to high blood pressure. You have nothing to worry about.
Spouses can only be rejected for medical reasons if they have a disease (such as TB) that can be passed on to others.
Other sponsorship classes (such as parents) CAN be rejected for medical reasons if it´s felt their medical issues will create too much of a burned on the Canadian health care system. However spouses are exempt/excluded from this rule.
Again - you have nothing to worry about.
