Subject: denied visa
  my application for getting a temporary working visa was denied last december 2009 due to the fake LMO that was submitted to the embassy, in the first place i didn¡¦t know that the LMO that was given to me by my agent in canada was fake.. i explain my side to the immigration officer when i was interviewed but she told me that my application was denied and i can only re-apply again if i will be proven innocent for the case or wait for 2 years.. i want to apply again coz i know that i am innocent of what had happened, what¡¦s the best thing should i do? please help me! thanks!

A legal principle holding that a person who is unaware of a law may not escape liability for violating that law merely because he or she was unaware of its content.

thina, in english that means you are responsible for what you submitted even if you claim you did not know it was fake. It was your job to know - you hired the agent, you should have screened the agent and the documents you submitted to the government.

Otherwise, people can deliberately submit junk and when they get caught they can claim innocence? don´t think so.

You will need to wait the 2 years and be prepared for an extra hard look at your application.

Check to see if your agent is authorized and if so file a complaint with CSIC and post the persons name. CSIC has a fund to give compensation for crimminal acts so you can collect from these individuals and all CSIC members have errors and Omission Insurance as well.

If you hired an un-authorized representative then your up the creek without a paddle.

Now a company hired you and you never checked with the company???????

Did you have an idea before submitting your WP with LMO that all was bogus? How come no communication between you and the company????
