Subject: need advice whether or not to apply for fsw
good day to you sir and madame!
just need an advise on whether or not to continue my plan to apply me and my family for permanent residence under fsw. my case is this.
i am a bs accountancy graduate but not a cpa and i engaged myself into a business and landed myself as a freelance self employed person. then i am about to graduate and recieve a new diploma in Culinary arts and i am planning to work as a cook in canada but, the thing is, my experience in this new line of career was just my 2 month apprenticeship in a hotel here in the philippines. under the fsw, i should have at least 1 year experience on the skills that i am applying. so, is it possible for me, my wife and 2 kids to be eligibly pass the visa requirement of canada? what if we have enough money to declare that will serve as our settlement funds in canada? please kindly enlightened me on this, thanks and hope for your reply

the NOC code you choose to apply under must match your experience requirements. Money does not substitute.

thank you for your reply ms. sharon. well, what if my previous job is included in one of the list for fsw application. Because i owned before a food business and i made myself as its manager for about 2 years, can this help mo be eligble to apply?

can you supply an employers letter that outlines your skills and responsibilities?

you are asking questions that nobody can really answer. what is wrong with waiting until you have met the work experience requirement in the NOC code you wish to apply under rather than trying to cook your application?

The ultimate plan is to be able to land a job when you arrive. Do you think your skills and experience are sufficient? are they enough to easily get a job in your home country?

sorry but i am not cooking any. i made myself the manager of my business which i franchised 2 3 years ago. i have no intention to fool any of of the immigration officers about my status and work experiences. i just want to make if fast for me and my family so that we can settle immediately to canada.

What´s wrong with living in Philippines? You have varied experience there and have a family... your best bet to success in life is one that involves exploring Philippines´ society for opportunities and perhaps learn to love the place you are born in?

what´s wrong in the philippines? a lot! you cannot trust anyone even the police. authorities and criminals here are all co equal in terrorizing the innocent civilians. i am not saying that all of them are that, let me say that almost, like 80 percent. ate these answered your question?

I would think your self employed career will be hard to substantiate with CIC. you can try... but I would not count on it. Worst case scenario is they reject your application and you are forced to wait until you meet the experience requirement.

You could also investigate a work permit - but with a soft economy, and your expertise, it may be troublesome.
