Subject: LICO - Who is eligible to use this?
Using the Sponsor Income Guide Form IM5196 I have calculated the minimum income required for me to sponsor my mother is: Table 1 $20,584; plus Table 2 $15,057; for a total minimum income requirement of $35,641.

What I donīt understand is - who is eligible to use Table 3 - LICO, instead of the Table 1 + 2 calculation?

Please do not cut and paste the page from the website as an answer.

how many members in your household?

we are all looking at the same website as you. Count up the family members and it will tell you what your income needs to be.

LICO - Who is eligible to use ? (in reply to: LICO - Who is eligible to use this?)
Sharon, if you read my post you saw that I did count up my family members and arrived at $35,641; using Tables 1 & 2.

I repeat my question, which noone seems to have the answer to: "Who is eligible to use Table 3 - LICO (which only requires an single sponser to have income of $27,601; to bring my mother to Canada, rather than the $35,641 which is arrived at using the Table 1 + Table 2 calculation method.

And in case it still isn´t clear: "Who can use LICO"?

Table 3 is for all provinces other than Quebec.

If your stating Table three only requires one sponsor than their would only be 0ne person in your immediate family and you could not be married.

You should have answered that question as to how many because it leads me to believe your having trouble listening and interpreting replies as it relates to the LICO.

All persons sponsoring parents or grandparents and the rare case brother or sister need to meet the Low Income Cutoff.

To whom does the LICO scale apply? (in reply to: LICO - Who is eligible to use this?)
I am one person. I am not married. I have no dependants.
I am sponsoring 1 person, my mother.
Using the Sponsor Income Guide Form IM5196 I have calculated the minimum income required for me to sponsor my mother is: For me from Table 1 $20,584; plus my mother from Table 2 $15,057 = a total minimum income requirement of $35,641. I get this.
My question is: Who is the LICO table for? Who is eligible to use the "Low Income Cut Off" ?

Who is eligible to use the "Low Income Cut Off" I think you misunderstand the LICO table. You must show that income to be eligible to sponsor your mother. there is nothing to ´use´. you either qualify or you don´t

Kathryn-

Simply put - you must be making a minimum of $35,641 a year in order to qualify to sponsor your mother.
