Subject: ways to immigrate to Canada |
|

Hi,
If we were to immigrate with a temporary work visa with my husbands work, and I apply for and open visa to work whilst we are there, is it possible to apply for a federal skilled worker visa once in Canada?
I was told I would be eligible for a federal skilled permanent visa if I received a job offer. However I am finding it hard to search for a job as my position as ´psychotherapist´ is not a regulated job in Canada, it is up to the employers discretion and my UK training is different from Canada training -hard to find unless I´m there in person...
I have work experience as a Personal Trainer, but none as a psychotherapist as I only just graduated. Currently Canada is looking for psychologists (theapist falls under this heading) but normally requires 1 year experience. Are there any loop holes?
Thanks
Mel
