Hi All:
I wonder if anyone can help me on this.
1. I am a non-resident and I am living with my wife,my son in China, I want to apply for sponsor and sponsor my wife for PR. Is it possible,
2. Do I have to become a tax payer first?
3. Is there any consequence if I am get rejected to become sponsor?
Thanks in advance
Jerry

non-resident------------- (in reply to: Non-resident of Canada(citizen) to apply wife PR) Hi Jerry,
1. Yes, you can sponsor your wife. But you will have to satisfy citizenship and immigration canada that you will live in canada after your wife becomes a PR.
2.No.
3.Your question in not clear.

(in reply to: Non-resident of Canada(citizen) to apply wife PR) I´m reviving this old tread
Any idea how to convince them ?
CIC mentions:
1.letter from an employer; (kind of though...since who knows how long the process is going to be)
2.Proof of having rented/bought a dwelling in Canada (buy = ok but rent, see #1)
3.Letter of acceptance to a Canadian educational institution (I don´t want to go back to school....)
4.Reasonable plans for re-establishing in Canada or severing ties to the other country.
So, how to present #4 ? A simple word document ? What should be included ?
Thanks a lot
