Subject: Have a few questions about obtaining Canadian PR
I´m currently living in the United States, and I´m really very confused about all this stuff. My girlfriend lives in Canada and i would love to be able to live with her. I do love her. and have every intent of getting married. *Yes im young but i know what i want*
I´m 20, 21 in December. Yet I´m visually disabled, blind in one eye half blind in the other. I don´t have the required amount of work years needed for the NOC Skilled Workers permit *1 year continuous pay and work*. Even though my father has been training me in the field for almost 6 years. i just haven´t been paid for it.

I would like to know what my best course of action is.
I don´t have the funds to be able to help her for the 3 year sponsorship and she can´t afford to support me in that time frame. Is there a way i would be able to get some sort of work while I wait out the waiting period or?

This is all very confusing for me :x

and I´ve been reading all this stuff on the CIC website and other search engines. But it seems their all a load of crap or just outdated.

I would much appreciate any and all insight that can be given on my situation.

Thank you for reading and all the Help. Hope to hear from someone that can help me

if you get married, and she sponsors you as an outland applicant, that is the fastest route. Your medical situation should not (based on everything I know) be cause for refusal. She must have a job but no minimum income is required. All you truly need is a legitimate relationship with lots of proof to that effect. The entire process takes about 8 months to a year.

The 3 years you are referencing is not a period where you can´t work - it is a period where if you require social services of any kind - such as welfare, the government will require her to repay it. She takes financial responsibility for you as part of the sponsorship agreement. That does not mean you are not entitled to work.

Once you arrive as ´landed, outland applicant´ you can start working the next day.

Proof as in records of me coming to visit, emails, chat logs, etc?

Because unfortunately we´ve met online. and i´m still waiting on my passport to be able to go see her. *damned US gov.*

So in the 8 - 12 month period i´m not allowed to work in Canada?

Sorry for all the questions i´m just trying to figure out what my best course of action would be
