Subject: Moving home with new wife/outside vs inside
Next month I(Born Canadian Citizen) will be moving back to B.C. after living in the US for the last 5 years. My wife is from the USA and will be moving with me. Until she is given Permanent Resident status she can only visit for a few months at a time and cross the border to keep from overstaying her welcome. My question is, should she use her aunts California address to do an outside application or should we just do an inside application since we will be in Canada anyway?

there is a good chance they will not let her across the border if it appears that she is moving in advance of her sponsorship application being approved.

as a Canadian Citizen you can start the process while you are living out of the country - you just have to prove that you are returning home.

I am moving with my fathers help who already lives there next month then I am flying back to meet my wife. We will be driving to Canada. While I will be living in Canada she is just coming for vacation.

Oh and no application has been submitted yet. Why would they refuse her from vacation?

I have a job waiting for me in Canada. Her job will let her to continue from home and fly her wherever she needs to be.

Never mind, I just saw the outside application requires an FBI/police cerificate that takes over 4 months to obtain. We´ll just do the inside application when we get there, it´s a lot less confusing also.

If she is working from your new residence she is working IN CANADA without authorization. Why would that be considered a visitor?

Your not listening so why ask a question. The Immigration department does not stop for you.

Look me up when your spousal application is refused to do a proper outside of Canada application which is ten times faster.
