So who really is this guy??????
Video detention reviews from Lindasy to the Immigration Division on Rexdale Blvd. in Toronto prevents a fair assessment of anyones detention.
How long did it take a CBSA Officer to say we need to interview this guy in person?
I have a new client in the West Detention Centre who has been detained for EIGHT months and CBSA still has been unable to obtain a travel document for that persons removal. The only reason for detention is that he has been assessed as unlikely to appear for removal yet CBSA can not remove.
To get any information on the case the Officer wanted me to file an access to information request. Even after I told them they have the spelling of his family name incorrect.
I worked with Mr. Laut and I wish him luck trying to work with CBSA who sometimes lack common sense.

What is so interesting that pretending to be an authorized representative to get information would only be in the H&C section. H&C is a complicated process that takes common sense to win that is normally written by friends of the applicant. Hence the I MM 5475

A decision concerning humanitarian and compassionate factors is not a simple application of legal principles but rather a fact specific weighing of many factors involving a high degree of discretion involving a special grant of an exemption to an otherwise legal requirement.
It´s a decision that even a court should not interfere!
