| Subject: Marriage after applying for BC PNP |

Hi there
I a originally from Ireland and have been working in Canada on a year long working holiday visa since August, 2009. I then applied for the BC PNP June 11, 2010. I have yet to get a response whether I have been accepted or rejected. Since my application my long term Canadian girlfriend and I got married. Will this affect my PNP application? Do I need to mention it? Would it help if I did?

You MUST advise them of your change in status. help or hurt is irrelevant. Failure to report it is considered misrepresentation and your entire application could go into the garbage.

Thank you Sharon for your speedy and helpful reply. That was what I assumed alright. Ultimately my sole worry is that I have to leave my wife if the PNP doesn´t go through. If she were to sponsor me if my PNP failed, she would have to sponsor me from Canada and I would have to apply for PR from Ireland. Is this the best option do you know? I realize I could continue to live in Canada with her while the sponsorship in being processed but once my working holiday visa ends (August, 2010), and assuming my PNP fails, I would be unable to get an extention. Is this accurate? How long to you think it would take to process my PR and her sponsorship if we are both in different countries? Is it possible for us to visit each other during the processing time? I know that´s a lot of questions but if you could assist me in anyway I would hugely appreciate it! Thanks again!
