Subject: citizenship application - expired passort destroye |
|
|
|
The invitation to pass the citizenship test exams advices to bring all the passports: current and expired.
I believe the expired passport is needed to evaluate
days of my absence
However, as required in my country of the origin, while issuing the new passport,
the old passport was destroyed.
Will it be a major obstacle?
I called CIC, and they advised me to call either my consulate,
or citizenship program phone (1-888-242-2100), which happen
to be completely robotic- no living person picks the line
What else can I do?
Thank you,
S

(in reply to: citizenship application - expired passort destroye) I thought about using shredding services for my old passport, but I´d better keep it for unexpected future use such as citizenship applications.

(in reply to: citizenship application - expired passort destroye) I think S has the same problem I face. When applying for a new passport you have to hand the old one in with your application.
