Subject: Helping my husband get to Canada.
  Hello,

(I´m sponsoring my husband from overseas and I am in Canada)

I´m having trouble with the forms as one of the questions asks about his family and where they reside. One of his brothers lives somewhere in Canada but they don´t have a specific address for him, will this be a problem?

Also, we decided not to have a celebration in the country we were married, and instead we both talked about having the celebration (and another marriage ceremony) when we were both in Canada. I wanted to have my family and friends attend. Also, his family was a little hesitant about our marriage so I didn´t care if we celebrated the marriage there or not. Now I´m noticing that one of the questions is about a marriage celebration, and for photos. So, while we have photos from the marriage, like I stated before we would have none of a celebration. Will this be a cause of concern?

Thank you to anyone able to help with these questions,
Dawn

Anything unusual needs to be clearly explained.

Your not the first person in the world who does not get along with their In-Laws!

Dawn,

1. Try to find his brother´s address first. If unable to do so, simply give all the information on IMM5406 as to his name, DOB, place of birth, marital status and on address box write "Do not know, please see attached". Explain the reason why you guys do not have his address; this could be for instance, the brother in Canada has cut off contact with family or any thing close to truth. Attach this additional sheet to the form. Don´t forget to write down the name of applicant (in this case your husband) on top of the page + IMM5406, Section C
2. On Sponsor and or spouse questionnaire form, answer the question truthfully. You can even mention the fact that his family were not very much pro to this marriage and indeed you two have decided to have a ceremony in Canada once he is landed. Continue with sending the pictures you already have from marriage. This would not cause any problem, the visa officers would enjoy your jonesty.
Don´t you worry, fill it up properly and send it out.

Good luck.
