Subject: X-ray result: calcified right lung nodule
  Hello,

We have applied for the PR to Canada and the Consulate office asked us to go for Medical test. All medical reports were fine except the results of my wife´s X-ray report. The report says "calcified right lung nodule". One could guess that this might be TB infection, but she has none of the symptoms of TB, may be it is inactive TB. Now, I am worried whether this finding has an impact to reject my PR application. Your experiences and suggestions on this would be appreciated.

Suman

Ask your family physician go give you idea what the diagnosis means? and you will be able to figure out what would be next?

I wish you luck,
Nisha

lung problem (in reply to: X-ray result: calcified right lung nodule)
Don´t worry, Suman. Everything is going to be fine. I had almost the same problem - a scar on one of my lungs. The TB can be one of the causes, but not in my case. I knew for sure I had never had it before. So, after the first medical examination, I was told to come for another X-ray in 3 months and I had to go through some more tests. All of them were negative and the scar on the lung was still the same. The embassy gave me the work permit as I was applying but with a paper saying that I had to go through the further medical surveillance in Canada. I had all the phone numbers I had to call on that papers and all the information. After coming to Canada I had another X-ray and some tests. The same negative. So, they left me alone. I know many people who go through the same procedure. They almost never find any TB. They just want to make sure you don´t have it. But even if you do, the law says that it´s not the reason not to let you in. If the tests show you have it, they will put you on some special medication and that is all. Don´t worry. It only takes time, but your story will have a happy end!

Hello guys,

Thanks for ur posting and special thanks to OKSANA for her sharing.

I just had my medical done few days ago and also gave my documents to the MD that shows I had completed TB medication. Few weeks ago when I had my chest xray done at a local hospital they told me it was negative. But my MD officer told me that he is oging to wait for the xray report and then let me know if i have to go for the spitim test. I´m little nervous and don´t know hom many more months it is going to delay from this point.

hping to hear from u all
