Subject: LOSS OF PR STATUS - Question |
Hi everyone,
I was wondering if anyone ever lost his/her PR Status (by not abiding by the 2 year residence obligation) and if he/she could get it back later. Is it doable? Impossible?
Thanks
John

(in reply to: LOSS OF PR STATUS - Question) Yes it is very possible to get it back but it depends on the individual circumstances.

(in reply to: LOSS OF PR STATUS - Question) Theoritically it is possible, now there are many factors that have to be taken in consideration. You would have to go through a hearing in front of the Immigration Appeal Division and prove your case.

(in reply to: LOSS OF PR STATUS - Question) John,
My suggestion to you is to retain the services of a lawyer or a certified immigration consultant member of the CSIC and make sure that they specialize in IRB hearings. This is not a matter to be taken slightly.
