Subject: LOSS OF PR STATUS - Question
Hi everyone,

I was wondering if anyone ever lost his/her PR Status (by not abiding by the 2 year residence obligation) and if he/she could get it back later. Is it doable? Impossible?

Thanks

John

Yes it is very possible to get it back but it depends on the individual circumstances.

Theoritically it is possible, now there are many factors that have to be taken in consideration. You would have to go through a hearing in front of the Immigration Appeal Division and prove your case.

John,

My suggestion to you is to retain the services of a lawyer or a certified immigration consultant member of the CSIC and make sure that they specialize in IRB hearings. This is not a matter to be taken slightly.
