Hi,
I applied for a TRV from Abu-Dhabi & got refusal under their 179 Regulations. I wanted to spend vaction with my girl friend & tour canada. I had submmited all the documents including bank statement, Company letter from HR stating my leave & also invitation letter of my friend in Canada. She is a PR. I also have travelled to Phillipines twice & the visa.My U.A.E visa has been renewed recently & have a secure job with airline industry. What else can I do to get the visa?

Think longer before you apply next time.
I want to come to Canada to visit my Girlfriend!!! Yeah Right, you are going to leave.
Did you tell them you´re going to see Niagara Falls and the CN Tower which can be seen on the same day or a more detailed invitation letter by a person, the same age and opposite sex? So what was the reason you wanted to fly halfway around the world to do while in Canada?

is she your friend - great. are you going to see just her - not great. are you mentioning an opportunity to get to know each other better - not great. are you hoping she will show you her beautiful city? better.
all of it true. You are trying to reduce the risk of CIC thinking you will not go home at the end of your visit. Be selective but don´t lie.
Now that your letter is on file with a 179 regulation attached to your name, you are going to have trouble.

Thanks Sharon for all the replies. Infact me & my girlfriend we know each other for 7 years. We just wanted to get married in canada because our marriage papers in India had a problem with the date. They can´t correct it. They need us both to be in India for a mpnth to make new papers. My wife will lose her job if she takes vaction for a month to go to India. I wanted the marriage contract so I can get back to Dubai & file for a PR. Our dreams are shattered. We both are getting old now. Iam 36 & she is 40. Now we dont have options. We will go back to India & get married there I think.
