Tax return advise please

Subject: Tax return advise please

I becam a landed immigrant in 2009 and came back after amonth stay.I did not work during this stay.Now I am planning to go back to canada and live there by mid 2010.Do I need to file a tax return.Can I file a tax return later when I land back to Canada?
