Subject: Sponsorship over 18 years
Please can someone assist me here.

I am a FIJI citizen aged 25 years not married. I am the yongest in my family in FIJI and was very close to my aunty.

My aunty is married with 2 kids and resides in Canada. They own a big house in Canada and also owns a business. My uncle is the owner of the business and they both have no problems in showing the required cash for supporting me in Canada.

I am also studying in FIJI - Final year at the University and has a job.

Please can some one advice me if I am eligible to be sponsored since I am over 18 years.

Thanks for the help

the age cut off is 22. If you still have family members in Fiji, you also do not qualify.

Why not try coming as a student.

HI - I thought my aunt and uncle can sponsor me ? I dont know whats the problem here when they have the wealth required to sponsor me . Why is there so much of restrictions?

Anywhy what is the possibility of me staying long and working in Canada after coming on as a student.

How long can I stay in Canada if I come as a visitor´s visa?

www.cic.gc.ca will answer many of your questions.

money is not the only criteria for sponsorship. There is a restriction because Canada can only handle 350,000 new immigrants a year. Rules stop that number from being in the millions.

If you come as a student, there is an opportunity to apply at the end of your education to stay. Qualifying as a student is not simple - as you will see after reading the immigration website but you were asking for options.

A visitors visa would allow you to stay 6 months. To obtain that visa you would have to show strong ties to your home country to prove that you will be returning home at the end of your visit.

What province do your relatives live in? Could your uncle offer you a job in his company? would you qualify?

There may be other options but your best bet is to start reading. You know your situation best and what might apply to you.

no, but if you apply on your own merits, you can give yourself 5 points for adaptability.
