| Subject: Canadian abroad with UK fiancee |

I know that Canada has gotten rid of its Fiancee visa sponsership programme in 2002. I have been living in the UK on a post-study visa and have a fiancee here. We want to get married in Canada. We have not been living together, and cannot apply for the common-law spousal visa.
Is it possible for us to come to Canada, with him on a visitors visa (since he doesn´t need permission to come into Canada) and then get married in Canada?
