When one wants their partner to be with them while the Spousal Sponsorship application is being processed, think of one thing, the APPLICATION!
Stop thinking of him/her and focus on common sense and PROVING your relation because that is where happiness lies!
I get calls all the time as soon as the DIY people get kicked for an interview.
-- My partner wants to travel but we have an In Canada Spousal Application in process will it cause trouble when she/he tries to re-enter Canada to be with me again? YES!!!
-- Our application got transferred to the local office can you (PAY SOMEONE) on the inside to approve our application without us waiting for an interview? NO!!!
If you ( I can´t be without him/her ) people would only take the time to prove your relationship then your great plan of jumpiong to the front of the line while wakeing up in each othersw arms every morning might work once in a while.
Getting caught jumping to the front of the line then thinking your special because you LACKED common sense in the first place causes me to scratch my head. What were you thinking?
Most Visa Post processing tiimes are far faster then Vegreville CPC. Plus if CIC turns you down with an In Canada Spousal Application you will probably be turned down at your partners Visa Post! Visa Post Spousal Sponsorship can be appealed to the IAD Immigration Appeal Division and 60% of those appeals are won at the ADR Alternate Dispute Resolution Stage. Maybe another 6 months.
Think about the process after the local office refusal.....CIC (local office) believes that your marriage is not genuine so you want to apply outside of Canada, NOW!!!! Never wanted to do that in the first place. The Visa Post will KNOW what unusual answers you two gave at the local office. You two were interviewed so what has changed?????
Stop thinking your case is SPECIAL because your in a real marriage! Folks there are an awful lot of (REAL) Spousal Sponsorships out there.
Your task is to if you wish to (DIY) Do It Yourself, PROVE YOUR RELATIONSHIP IS GENUINE!
Most fees for assistance are betwenn $1,500.00 to $3,500.00 depending on the complexity of the sponsorship application.
Think logically and not everyone can see (YOU TWO) are in a real marriage! NO THEY CAN´T! YOU HAVE TO PROVE IT!!!!....or get professional advice.

good advice Roy. I always think of a spousal appilcation as more difficult than a skilled worker because it is not based on hard facts such as educational documents that are either real or not, age, (how do you lie about your age) language score, etc.
Thnk like a lawyer - make your case, one witness/aspect of your relationship at a time. All the pieces should paint a picture that forces no other conclusion than the relationship is genuine.
