No you still have to go through the same immigration process as any body else.

Your wife is Canadian...it means that she can sponsor you to immigrate to Canada if that is what your plan is.

You are British.... it doesn´t matter.

If you are planning to immigrate to Canada you have to fill the forms and wait in line like everyone else. Family member applications are processed a little bit faster and the criteria used is different but if the forms are not filled right, things can turn ugly pretty quick.

Piece of advise though... apply from your home country and then once approved, immigrate to Canada.

URGENT - Please Help - Visiting on British passport (in reply to: My wife is Canadian, I am British.)
Hi,

I am visiting Canada on my British passport. I understand I don´t need a visa, & will be given a 6 month visa to stay as a tourist at the destination airport.

Once I am given that VISA, do I have to stay in Cananda? Or can I visit another country from Canada (Brazil), and then return to Canada on that same visa, if everything is within the 6 months ?

Needless to say I´ll take a separate visa for Brazil.
