Subject: Roy have you experienced something like this?
Hi Roy, sorry to hear you are missing the snow. I guess I am getting too old because I hate the cold and the snow that I can remember loving so much when I was young and playing hockey on the lake from morning till night with frozen toes.

Spring is only 7 weeks away.

A quick question:

We sent our application to Manila on September 17, 2009. Common Law partner.

On November 15 we received a letter asking for my partners passport and the passport of her two children. We clearly identified the two children as non accompanying. Foolishly, wanting to comply, my partner got the kids passports from them and submitted them along with hers to the Embassy on December 11 along with a letter explaining that we desperately needed the passport of the two kids back as soon as possible as they had upcoming travel arrangements.

We followed up with a phone call, another letter delivered to the Embassy on January 6, 2010 and to date not a word.

Is there any possiblity they will send the childrens passports back or will we have to wait until the entire process is completed??

We feel so stupid for sending them, it is causing a great deal of stress as a result.

Regards,

Mrmagoo.

Hi Roy thanks for the reply. My question was: Is there any possibility that they will return the kids two passports as they are non accompanying dependants?

Or will we have to wait for the entire process to be completed. We urgently need their passports as they have travel arrangements in February.

I realize we shouldn´t have sent them but we did. We submitted a letter with the passports explaining they are non accompanying dependents and requesting the passports back asap.

We delivered a follow up letter to the embassy on January 7, 2009 and have called but only get a call centre agent who apparently can do nothing and appears to know nothing.

How do you get in touch with anyone who can do anything for you. It appears to be impossible to contact anyone who can help or cares about our concern?

Regards,

Mrmagoo.

Hi Roy as I stated earlier we were requested to send my partners two children´s passports to Manila. They were clearly identified as NON ACCOMPANYING dependants. We dropped them at the Embassy on December 11, 2009.

We now wish we had not. We sent a letter with them explaining the situation and asking them to please return them ASAP as they had travel arrangements in February.

My question is: Is there any possibility that they will return the kids two passports as they are non accompanying dependants?

I realize we shouldn´t have sent them but we did.

We also delivered a follow up letter to the embassy on January 7, 2009 and have called but only get a call centre agent who apparently can do nothing and appears to know nothing.
