(in reply to: Landing by hiring a taxi) You won´t be landing in Toronto; you will land at the border just outside Buffalo. Not sure a taxi would be your best bet, as immigration and customs can take quite awhile and you´d have to pay them to wait. How about taking Greyhound? I have read on this board of people doing that successfully; you can technically even walk across the border and check in that way.

(in reply to: Landing by hiring a taxi) we have a former forum member that was intent on landing with a bicycle. I actually think he did it!

(in reply to: Landing by hiring a taxi) Yeah, as long as you can find a cab driver with a current passport when you need it and a cab company that will allow one of their vehicles to cross the border.
Other than that as far as CBSA concerns, how you get to the border is your issue.

(in reply to: Landing by hiring a taxi) Hi KK,
Greyhound or CoachCanada is the best option. Go for it.
Best Luck,
