Thanks for that one reply...But i didnt understand it fully.Especially what is marriage by proxy for a CR?...And isnt there any other chance?Also can the situation change after acquiring a canadian citizenship?And what if being married before being a CR.

Nice way to start of a second posting regarding your first posting.
When one is applying for convention refugee stauts they are in Canada. You are seeking the protection of Canada due to a well founded fear of persecution. So your so persecuted your going to get on a plane and fly back to your country of persecution to get married?
So lets say your a Convention Refugee (CR) you can not return to your country without probably having your status vacated. That is why you would marry by Proxy or over the phone.
If your married before becoming a CR by Proxy or another way no problem.
After becoming a citizen you can go back which to me does not make a lot os sense.
