Subject: Illegal work in the US
I entered the US in 2001 on a tourist visa, which expired in a couple months later, and has been living here illegally. I worked for a couple of years as a restaurant manager here. I plan to submit my application for Federal Skilled Worker soon.

Does the Canadian government take it against you for living and working illegally in another country like the US? Will my work experience in the US discounted in my application?

Should I declare in my application that I live in the US albeit illegally?

I´ve searched for similar threads on this forum but I couldn´t find any. My apologies if my queries have already been answered.

Thanks.

Consider your partner, family, friends lie to you all the time till you reach the point you don´t know who to believe. You believe that they hang around you because of your money.

Then along comes an attractive woman who tells you I hang out with you because of your yacht, Ferrari and all the great parties you throw. Hmmm well at least you know her motives.

Liker those woman including his wife slept with Tiger due to his charming ways or his notoriety and money .

Immigration Officers get lied to all the time and they start looking for those who lie on every single application and along comes you telling the truth. WOW A breath of fresh air!

Tell the truth, declare the truth, let the truth set you free!

You can not really think that CIC Officers are so ignorant that they don´t know people work illegally in the States?

Always tell the truth.

Roy,

Thanks for responding.

I do intend to state in my application that I did under-the-table work in the US.

But I definitely will go back to my home country and send my application from there.

Have you had cases similar to mine? Your opinion is appreciated.

Alex

You need to say you worked in the States.
