Subject: reply to email from CIC roy/sharon please advice

Sorry my last post went unanswered so am posting it again before it again .....

Hello roy and sharon

Firstly I am sorry and guilty of always asking questions related to my application and really appreciate
Your responses always .... Every time there is a confusion or query there is always hope to get it answered in the forum....thanks for keeping the forum and hope alive.

Actually we had emailed CIC for status update and got a reply and my query is regarding that

Just to refresh memory I applied for fsw with aeo at london office in feb 09
Sent medicals end of july and documents and rprf end of aug
And am waiting since a lot of details documents were updated
My lawyer sent an email on my request to cic to get an update on my file status
Next day itself he got an reply as follows
Dear xxxx
We are in receipt of documents you mentioned and would like to inform that mr xxx file is currently being reviewed by an immigration officer. We will send you a letter from our office in due course.

This is the only response. Now my 90 day deadline was expiring on 2nd sept so my file bring forward for review date would be around that date
Today its almost 69 days since that deadline and they are responding as `CURRENTLY BEING REVIEWED` what I would like to understand is how the review works doesn´t the IO look for documents on the bring forward date assess the application with the docs in file and make a decision??
Is the decision or review done over couple of weeks and not instantly?
Could it be that the file is reviewed and they are waiting for routine background checks to come through to make a decision?
If the officer would want to reject based on documents then they would not wait for any further completion of checks immediately send out a rejection letter.... Right???
Over all what do you feel is this a good sign or a bad sign ..... Please your inputs are highly appreciated and indispensable please

Actually your life hangs in the balance when you are planning to move and start a new life so indication on whether we will be accepted or not is crucial to base decisions while waiting .... I do understand that this is a normal answer and my file is being processed normally but as you people have first hand exp of processes and processing you might be able to pick up the clues.... Please
And thanks again

Waiting eagerly
Best regards
Kash

the process has changed a little bit so how they are doing things now is still a bit of a mystery. Sydney gives the initial approval OK and then everything is sent on to your home embassy to do all the detail work.
There is absolutely no promise of processing times. It is reasonable to assume they look at everything all at once. If there is something they want to check then the BF date is used to insure the file does not sit any longer than a certain time. I do not believe that means nothing gets done until that time... it just means that there is a safety mechanism in place to insure processing is always continuous.

You may very well be correct that they are waiting for background checks and again, CIC does not control how long that takes.

Try not to read too much into any of the perceived delays or you will make yourself crazy.

Don´t sell anything or quit anything until they request you passport and even then, it could be a couple of months to get all your documents back to you. What you can do however is get a sense of job opportunities, and start making some plans around what strategy you will use to secure employment. If you english is a bit weak... get practicing. Language is the biggest barrier equitable employment.

try to stop counting the days on the calendar. All is OK.

It seems you are preoccupied with obssessions, assumptions and probabilities. As Sharon said, if you continue like this you will become crazy. I know it is easy said but this is the truth. Don´t count days or even weeks..it is always a matter of months..Go on your life and don´t get attached to it.
As long as you got enough points of your self-assessment FSW, you will be mostly likely approved.

I was extremely worried like you as I was in avery critical situation and everything was waiting for the result. From my own experience and as I understood from the CAIPS notes, my file was standing on the queue for months until reviewed by an IO who calculated the points and found out that I am qualified. After this initial approval, they sent the request for medical exams. Meanwhile, my file was sent for security check. Two moths after sending the medical exam results, I heard the final approval and passport request.

It seems that you haven´t yet received medical exam request..right? Receiving the letter of medical exam request means your file is approved pending the exam results and background check.

If you are very worried, you can order your CAIPS notes. You will be able to see what the IO said about your file but I think it is not necessary at this time.

Trust your God (whatever your God is..lol!) and follow what Sharon said.

thanks to all for your replies ... (in reply to: reply to email from CIC roy/sharon please advice)
hi Sharon / anonymous / costs

thank you all a lot for your replies ....

i do understand that counting calendar days is not going to help and seed your advice .... but sometimes your mind keeps on going back on that track .... however i know i should take control of the situation ....

Sharon, i had applied with an AEO and by gods grace have a job offer waiting once i land ... so i am more concerned.... i have seen many immigrants not able to find jobs i am lucky that there is someone offering me a fulltime job when i land .. so i want to make the most of it .... thats why i am more excited than normal .... and in language again i have a pretty good command over english ... definetely not perfect but i scored a full ( 8 band) in IELTS and that is the reason my assesment points are complete and enough to immigrate ... and one of the reasons i landed the job is because i am multilingual ... i am able to communicate fluently in a few regional languages of india and even arabic, and have a good command over my english as well, ability to communicate in regional languages was an essential pre-requisite for the job.

Another reason is i really like canada as a place itself .. i had visited canada last year to appear for the interview for the job i have secured, for 3 weeks and visited all the main places .. like calgary , vancouver, banff, besides toronto where my employer is based, my wife and daughter too enjoyed the place and are as excited as me to start a life there.....

And anonymous, i have already paid RPRF on CIC requests and completed medicals and sent them around mid august ... i do understand that once they request medicals chances of being accepted are pretty bright ... but in their documents request along with the medicals they asked for so many additional documents from me and my employer .. almost all documents submitted to HRDSC for AEO approval were asked again and from me they asked in detail description of my qualifications and job .... how i am prepared to perform the job in Canada .. how my experience is valid to job being offered in Canada .... and also how i got the job offer and got selected .... therefore i got more worried .. they never asked for the conventional documents like updated PCC or proof of travel or Net-worth statement etc ...

However from all your views and advices i do feel that waiting ...even though tough ... is the only solutions ... keep up the prayers and fingers crossed ...... thank you all for keeping the hope alive ......

Best regards .
Kash.
