Subject: TEF French Exams - Points or Level |

|
I need to acquire 5 extra points and I am attempting to do this via the Tef exams. However, I am a bit confused with whether i would require to study up a level (4) for moderate or use the points listed.
On the CIC website for the moderate level it states:
Moderate: Speaking (oral) Level 4; 271-348 points
Listening (oral) Level 4; 217-279 points
Reading (Comp) Level 4; 181-232 points
Writing (Comp) Level 4; 271-348 points
However, according to the French scale for TEF the levels/points are as follows:
A1 Level 0; 0-68 points / Level 1; 69-203 points
A2 Level 2; 204 - 360 points
B1 Level 3; 361 - 540 points
B2 Level 4; 541 - 698 points
C1 Level 5; 699 - 833 points
C2 Level 6; 834 - 900 poings
As can be see, Level 4 points on the french scale do not correspond to the Level 4 points on the CIC scale.
Therefore, in attempting to gain points with French as a second language should I look at the points instead of the Level?
Confused.
Thanks in advance.
