Hi i am a PR holder from Canada and i had to travel to india owing to a personal exigency without getting my PR card. Now since i have gotten married in india and have to go back to canada i want to ask the experts and other people who have been in the same situation:
1. can i go back using a travel document and if so how can i obtain the same?
2. Can i sponsor my spouse after i come back to canada
What are the chances that CIC doesnt allow me back as it was really imperative for me to come back to india .
I really need inputs from your end as i am completely helpless

(in reply to: travel document + marriage) Hi I am not an expert in this case but In my opinion it should not be a problem and you can just request a travel document in the visa office in india and travel back to Canada. Applying for a spousal case post this should not be a difficult thing provided that you have all the evidences to show that it was not a marriage for convinience.
Expect others to comment on this

(in reply to: travel document + marriage) It really depends on when you were landed in Canada and if you meet residency requirement - 2 out of 5 years. If not, visa office may not issue you a travel document back to Canada. If you are still within, you should be fine. And you can sponsor your spouse once you are back.
