  Hello all, need your valuable input and thanks a million in advance.

I submitted full application (without IELTS ) 2 months agao. I got the letter IO wasn´t satisfied, IO mentioned that they have completed a review of my application and supporting documents, but they are not satisfied my claimed language (ENGLISH) proficiency by letter, so I must submit IELTS.

- I am in need of 16 numbers from Language ( English + French ) and Adaptability.
- I claimed high proficiency in English, Basic in French ( both submitted letters ) and adaptability.
- IO have not said any thing about my french claim or adaptability ( does that mean I will be awarded basic french + adaptability points?)
- A proximate idea , how long it gonna take for PP/RPRF after submitting IELTS ?
- I got 12 in IELTS, I am hoping to 2 from french and 3 from Adaptabilty. Is that seems okay to go with this IELTS?

Thanks to all.

why would you get adaptability points from language skills?

you are lucky they gave you a chance to do the IELTS exam even though it proved you over stated your proficiency.

I think you may be short some points.

Dear Hope for Canada,

What is your Nationality and under which NOC category did you apply in the first place? Also, as Sharon pointed out, you will not get adaptability points from language factor, Adaptability and language are two different factors. Now, if you are not a native French speaker, you must take TEF: Test d’évaluation de français test to claim any points in French language. You must submit results from the following TEF tests as proof of your French language skills:

* compréhension écrite
* compréhension orale
* expression écrite
* expression orale

Hope this is helpful.

IELTS: academic or general training (in reply to: Please comment on my situation, thanks to all.)
i have a 1 year and 2 months old IELTS (academic module) test result if I apply this November 2009. CIC requires a not more than one year old IELTS result from the time of submission of application for FSW and general training module IELTS. British council claims that IELTS result is valid for 2 years. Can the IO accept my (academic module) IELTS results or must I take a new IELTS (general training module)? thanks
