| Subject: 2nd Medical exams request on the way.. |

I wanted to see if anyone of you can share their experience with regards to having to get a 2nd medical examination after the first one expired...
Apparently, a 2nd request in on its way (according to CIC)... wondering if I should get excited or not...
It´s been 50 months since they started to process my application... 1st medical exams expired almost a year ago...
Please share your experience... do you think this is the real deal now... what should I expect to happen now...

I´ve done my second last month, and received my passports request just two weeks after.
I´m thrilled!

Hey Yar that is great! I am glad you replied... I guess is really a big deal for people like us who have been waiting so long... and gone thru the excitement of getting medical request once before...
If I may ask... where did you apply, which CIC agency? and why do think you didn´t get your visa before expiration of your first medical exams...

I applied from UAE through London office. I am not sure why it took long time, but everytime I asked the answer was security check is not concluded.

Yes... same here... We are in Abu Dhabi ... we also got the same answer... we are still wating for background checks... even though we got a letter from CSIS telling us they have completed background check on our file... so go figure...
Any ways... we are still waiting for that letters asking for the 2nd medical exams... last time I wrote to CIC London they told me they have send us a letter asking us to do medicals... let´s hope it is true and that the letter will soon get here...
Any ways... good luck with everything... please keep posting your experiences as you are nearly there... I wish you the best, specially if you decide to move to Canada soon after getting your visas...

wow is long time
hmmm let me do the math 50 months
1 year = 12 months, 1 year = 12 months+1year=12 months=2 years = 24 months,2 years =24 months+2 years=24months = 4 years = 48 months
is more then 4 years

hahaha... Stavrimacoku... I know... it´s a long time... but I never thought it would take that long... they told me it might take 36 months on my letter of acknowledgment... I considered withdrawing my application at one point to reapply... but then couldn´t face the hassle of having to collect all the documents once more, we have lived in 3 different countries are neither my husband nor I reside in our native countries at this point...so it will take a lot of work to collect documents...
I got excited when at the end of 97 CIC asked us to do the medicals... but here we are 2 years later and yet... no answer... We are just letting it flow and if it happens... it happens... if not... oh well... it wasn´t meant to be then.

Thanks Roy... and when it does... I will have to really thank those people who like you gave me advise time and time again... or simply told me to go for a walk when I was going mental!
