Morning Rant
Each adult aboard this ship paid someone a minimum of $10,000.00 for the ride. At least ($760,000.00) three quaters of a million and probably alot more!
The authorities knew they where coming and these people never had a chance to make a refugee claim or sneak into North American society somewhere.
A ship sailing without even a flag!!!
Why not paint on the side of the ship in fluorescent paint
"ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS BEING SMUGGLED"!
I hope the people who did this choke on their evening meal, tonight.
I would also like to see the IRB approval rate of 48% of all refugee claimants drop down to a far more logical number.
Then again if I had a lucrative employment contract with the IRB for three years I might go with the flow too so that I had at least a few refugee claimants to render a decision on, the following Monday.

If it wasn´t so easy to be found to be a convention refugee in Canada these scum would have a lot less people willing to be smuggled into Canada for the almighty dollar.

My morning counter rant
Canada´s big brother in the south border, has been creating havocs, problems, wars and humanitarian disasters ABROAD. Later, the big brother is always rushing to solve the problems he created; once under the name of humanitrians aid, democracy and human rights, freedom .etc etc to the end of the sick list. Look to what destruction the big brother has created in Iraq, Afghanistan and Palestine through their favourite 51 State od US called Israel. Normally after the big bombs chaoses, famines, disruptions etc etc the people have to find a refuge and safe haven. In the unspoken law and silent language, Canada the north backyard of the big brother is the where the refugees should go. It is sad to hear of people dying and loosing life in Oceans in the hope of better life. It is also sad to hear of big bombs delivered by the big brother everywhere while the nobel prize committee is deaf and idiot.It is unfair on Canadians to bear the influx of illegal immigrants and refugees. But the best action is to solve the problem radically and consciously. The big brother has to be straighten befanadian ore it is too late. The Canadian government has to be straighten too. If the Canadians have to follow blindly their big brother then there is no surprise that the Chinese will take over soon...though as usual, the Chinese are working in silence but knowing what they are aiming to.

Problem with the immigration department is that there are too many fox´s working in the hen house. These illegals should be fired right back to where they came from. Additionally, any immigrant residing in Canada, who commits a crime should be fired right back to where they came from. These are the beliefs of the typical Canadian, although you don´t hear the words very often.

THEY PAID $45,000.00 USD TO GET ON BOARD AND MOST HAVE NO IDENTITY SO THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO MAKE A REFUGEE CLAIM. THEY WILL BE IMMEDIATELY RETURNED TO THEIR HOME COUNTRY.

there appears to be mixed public opinion around here. Some think they should be allowed to stay. Others believe they should be sent home immediately so the word gets out that they paid $45,000 for nothing.
Sounds like these guys are former Tamil fighters trying to avoid problems back home. Not sure they are candidates for model citizenry.

lastest update - the boat that brought these guys is owned by the Tamil Tigers (a banned ´terrorist´ group in Canada). Some say they are fleeing persecution now that the Tamils have been theoretically defeated. others claim they are hiding the Tamil leadership in a safe haven to fight another day. In several cases there is concern that these guys are going to disappear in to the woodwork if released.
I am inclinded to ship them home.

This is a very tricky situation. If we allow even half to stay, we will be looking forward to many more ships coming in the next few months and years.
