Subject: Citizenship
To become Canadian citizens, adults must have lived in Canada for at least three years (1,095 days) in the past four years before applying. Children do not need to meet this requirement.

This means I submit my application in the end of the fourth year after landing ..not after the completion of the three years?

Landed 6/2006

Fulfilled the three year requirement in 6/2009

Should I submit my application now or should I wait until 6/2010?

The statement above says to apply in the fourth year.

Surely you can apply now, the day you fulfilled the 3 years clock you are eligible.

4 years mean that the 3 years counting will be valid only for the last 4 years. Say, you stayed in Canada for 5 years, but to fulfil your min´m 3 years; your staying must be within the last 4 years. You can´t count anything from your 5th year towwads the citizenship clock.

costs

costs, why does it always boil down to what you can get out of something. Perhaps becoming a citizen is to acknowledge the country that has given you a fresh start, or wanting a chance to vote and particiate in your own community.

Gimme gimme, gimme - it really gets nausiating.
