Subject: I'm really scared,,,Help me!! -expired study permt
Hello, I´m registered to a university in Quebec and my study permit is expired about 4months ago... My CAQ is still valid.
I´m planning to go back to my country next week and reapply for a new permit but I read many stories on the web that people overstayed likely to be rejected. Before I didn´t assume that this would be a big deal but now I am really scared and I´m paranoid I might not be able to come back to Canada......
Do you think I´ll be rejected???
Thanks for reading.

if you are really scared you will not be able to make it back to Canada, than stay put. Don´t leave in first place, try to work something out while you are in Canada. Why are you being scared or paranoid? do something, like explain the immigration authorities with a valid reason, decent explanation that there has been a screw up, but you want to renew.
You are carrying an expired study permit, one wrong move can put you introuble. Another option would be to come clean, let them know what has happened and leave Canada voluntarily. They might give you another study permit from home country easily.

Good luck from Pakistan!

Negative thoughts bring negative results.

Your in University so why did your status elaspe?

There is no exit requirements so how will they know when you left?

QYour study permit should have been issued for the period of your CAQ, since it was not the best answer is to speak to your local CBSA port of entry.
explain what happened that you did not notice your study permit was no longer valid as you were looking at you CAQ. they can put notes in the system for you.

Now to Roys above dishonest sheister sounding post (hey just lie...way to advertise that you are a legit business) there are no exit requirements but they can just check when you landed in your home country (and yes they do have that)

You are a low risk traveller (studying, ties to your home country, actually left..if you do...) your local embassy should have no problem re issuing you a visa.
Or you could apply for an extension from within Canada and of course when you returned from your vacation home you would actually have status in Canada.

Hope that helps

If he has studied with an expired study permit, it´ll be difficult for him to gain a study permit.

There is another condition given below, which I am not sure is still in effect or not.

If you have not applied to extend your study permit and it expired more than 90 days ago, you will be unable to renew your existing permit. You will have to apply from outside of Canada for a new study permit and you might be barred from applying for up to six months.
