Subject: Inland versus Outland
Which application process is supposed to be quicker, inland or outland?

I done an outland application and in total it has been 10 months now since the whole process began. However, it´s been 7 months that the application has been in process in London, England.

Why is it that my application is taking so long?

How can I get in contact with London and actually speak to someone about my husband´s application? Please, does someone have a phone number that I can contact?

Outland is faster and if the application gets rejected, you may appeal the decision, that is something that you cannot do with an inland application.

After the sponsorship application, the PR process might take about 10 months to be finalized, you should be pretty close but it all depends on how long would it take to the Canadian Embassy to finalized the background check and how many applications are in front of your husband´s.

80% of cases are finalized in 8 months the 20% might take longer than that.

You can try to send a fax to the Embassy, include the reason, file number and your complete contact information but more likely they will not get back to you and they will not discuss the status of the application over the phone.

It is a painfull wait, I know but it is very little what you can do.

Cheers,

Bill
