we´re going to apply for PR again under FSW category (applied once in Mar 2008 and got rejected due to change of rules) and are confused about IELTS thing..we know that the test results should not be old than one year old and ours are from Jan 2008 but the thing is if we wait for iELTS it will delay r our application by another 1-2 months which we cant afford..so i´m thinking of attaching a letter saying how my husband has always studied in an english medium environment and how he´s been working in a totally english speaking firm since the last 8 years and then that the attached IELTS test score which we took last year also reflets the same....do u think it´s a good idea....pls help...i want to dispatch the application this week itself...btw, just to let you know...we´re scoring 69 if we get high proficiency points in English and 64 if getting moderate proficiency ones.....pls let me know.

would you have 67 points if CIC chose to give you 4 less points for language than what your IELTS has given you?
you can´t afford a 1-2 month delay... but can you afford a refusal?
only you can determine your tolerance for risk so asking us if it is a good idea is a pointless exercise.

Thanks Sharon, i was under the impression that we dont need to send IELTS at the time of Initial application...anyways, here is one more question....will CIC recognise my Mom´s cousin who is a resident of canada as my Family member...he´s my mom´s first cousin...please let me know...thanks for all the great work u´re doing.

Hello ,
In regards to your case I have a few questions is that before your file was rejected were you asked to proceed in the waiting que for the new federal stream or you decided to proceed over again.. what was the reason for the rejection..Also as you have stated that IELTS exam validity is over as it is valid only for a year time.. The question here is that if you opted to start your case again from scratch then you have to do IELTS again for sure to meet the criteria.. You even stated that you will provide written submission but I would not suggest you to do that because that is more proper for a person whose first language is English or French.. So even if you submit the written submission there is no gaurantee that it will be accepted as well the officer maynot consider the interview for your English proficiency.. So you are better off doing the test again why face another rejection rite.. Also that was my opinion on the subject dont take it too personally but consider what is best for you according to what you think that should be done.. The test results are provided to the visa office upon request and better if everything is prepared before hand.. Also since you have asked a question for family member part to friend sharon I would like to share my view on that also if you both dont mind.. That includes the blood relationship.. i agree, the results are old but i had a different strategy in mind...u see, last time i waited long anough for ielts and finally when i sent the application with test scores, rules got changed.....so what i was thinking was that technically, my results are good for two years (as per IELTS) so i can claim 16 points for language while sending the application to CIO for assessment coz technically i have taken an approved language test...IN case they APPROVE my application and ask me to submit doc to buffalo, usa then i can go ahead and take new IELTS and attach NEW score card with the application....u see, i dont want to waste both time and money at this point when i dont know whether they´ll accept the application or not.
please let me know if this approach is wise?

can i used expired ielts copy with initial appliacation posting as my ielts already submitted in june 2009 to CHC in respect of my general process category which i filed my case in the month of auG -2006 and i submiitted my IELTS in june 2009 to CHC for the same case ( general process ) .
My Ielts validity for 1 year is expired in may 2010 . can i use my IELts which has been already with CHC for the refiling of my case in to fast track new 29 noc in the month of july 2010 ,although my general process case status is in process . please help ........
