Subject: question on emigrating
  Hi,
I want some advice on emigrating to Canada. I have found that one can only emigrate by the use of 4 catagories. Skilled workers and professionals, business immigration programme, sponsoring family and Quebec - selected skilled workers.

I am a British citizen and have a Bsc degree although I am not working as a skilled worker and do not fit into and of these categories.

Can i still apply and if so what category would i apply under, or can i just apply without having relevance to the mentioned categories. Please advise me. Thanks

Provincial nominee Program (in reply to: question on emigrating)
Canada encourages applications for permanent residence from people with abilities, education, and work experience that will contribute to the Canadian economy. The Provincial nominee Program allows provincial governments to choose immigrants according to the economic needs of the province. Each province:

• Establishes its own standards and processes by which it chooses its nominees.
• Tries to nominate those candidates who would be most likely to settle effectivley into the economic and social life of the region.

Canadian Experience Class (CEC) (in reply to: question on emigrating)
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

Temporary Foreign Workers and Students who graduated with a Canadian educational credential, often have the qualities to make a successful transition from temporary to permanent resident status in Canada. They are familiar with Canadian society and can contribute to the Canadian economy.

If you are a Temporary Foreign Worker or a foreign graduate working in Canada, you may apply for permanent residence by using this application package. You should have knowledge of English or French and qualifying work experience.

You emmigrate from a country, or immigrate to a country. So, you´re wanting to immigrate to Canada. Also both words are spelled with 2 m´s. Some self improvement in order, especially being British speaking the mother language.
