Has anyone here (after completion of initial background checks by CIC)been told that their SW application is undergoing ´further review´?
Does anyone here knows what CIC refers to when they talk about ´further review´? What is involved in this process?

Your file has been under review for a long time. It seems that you are having background / security clearance issues (Something might have come up during the checks which needs to be verified).
Nothing can be done from your side as it is in immigration Canada´s hands. Hopefully, you will get some information soon.
