Hello,
Please help me figure how many years of workex I’m eligible to claim.
I have worked for 2 years as an accountant (NOC code 1111) and 3 years as a journalist (NOC code 5123, skill level A).
I believe I’m eligible to apply as a skilled worker, but do I get points for 2 years of workex, or 5?
Thanks

Subject: Please help assess my work experience (in reply to: Please help assess my work experience) AOA, you can apply, but you will have to disclose the listed experience NOC # 1111 in Schedule-3 form, and therefore you will get points for only 2 years experience bieng in 38 professions...... no points for NOC 5123.
By the way, if you are a CA, ICMA etc then you can apply in this NOC Title, otherwise you can use the title of BOOKKEEPER...

(in reply to: Please help assess my work experience) Dear Salman,
One do not need to be a CA or ICMA to apply under NOC 1111. It is job description that matters. If one has performed duties as mentioned in NOC 1111, they can apply.

(in reply to: Please help assess my work experience) Bet Mr. Ishant will end up working lousy minimum wage jobs at fast food restaurants for many years to come.
Welcome to Canada, a country that desperately needs waiters, fruit-pickers, and all other dirty minimum wage jobs.
Good luck, you´ll need it a lot here. :)
