Subject: Canada PR Rejection
  Hi Everybody,

I had applied for my Canadian PR in 2007, around june 2008 i received a letter from high commission UK mentioning that i will be getting my interview letter in the next six months.
I waited till Feb 2009 but no letter was received from them. I wrote to them and the reply i received really shocked me, My application was rejected because as per High Commission UK, i was sent 2 letters (octī08 and janī09) to attend interview and since i didnīt attend the interview my application was rejected.
I would like to state here that i did not receive any interview letter from them, why i wont attend the interview after spending so much time and efforts for the PR (all this i mailed to High Commission UK also but still my PR was rejected).

Looking forward for your advice to sort this issue.

Bob.

did you move since June 2008 and not advise them? seems odd that 2 notices would not arrive.

at some point CIC has to assume that silence means you are not interested in immigration any more (it happens all the time) and they need to move on to the next application.

did you frequently check your online status?

Canada PR Rejection (in reply to: Canada PR Rejection)
Hi Sharon,

Thanks for the reply.
yes i was in touch with them after june´08, and when my mailing address was changed i had notified them immediately.
Just yesterday i received reply to my mail (which i had sent to them to explain my side about not receiving any of their interview letter)that my application was rejected and i can apply to get back the payments made to them.
I want to know if its possible to:
1. Appeal regarding application rejection.
2. To whom i should appeal.
3. On what grounds should i make the appeal.
4. Do i have any chances of lifting this rejection or i have to reapply/restart the whole process again.

Appreciate all the reply´s.

Regards,

Bob.

do you have any proof of notification?

without it, you are probably sunk. there is no appeal on skilled worker applications.

from personal experience I suspect you are starting over again but you are facing new rules.

as far as I know, the file is closed. You were obligated to have all supporting documents to CIC for consideration back in December 2008 and that is what they based their decision on.

Your are free to apply again.

can you address the concerns? have you received a refusal letter?

there is no appeal after a formal refusal.

regarding canadian PR interview and letter sending (in reply to: Canada PR Rejection)
something really weird happens to me. just few days ago I face an interview for canadian PR everything was good but than they show me my reference letter from company which varies from my original letter and the letter send to them after getting second file number. Actually how it happens was I was in Sydney for last 3 years and I asked my employer to send me a experience letter, they send me but there was an error regarding my designation, I was an assistant accountant for 1st 2 years and promoted as an accountant but they typed accountant in both so I asked them to send again. I try to convince visa officer regarding this but than she says she will send me a letter n giving me a chance to clear her doubts in next days time. She didnot refuse my application now i want to know from this forum what would be my concern? thanks.
