My father received a Canadian Immigration Identification Record when he came to Canada in the late 60´s and not an IMM1000? What is a CIIR?

Admitted Date is not visible (in reply to: Canadian Immigration Identification Record)
I have a copy of my original Canadian Immigration Identification Record paper, which was issued sometime in year 1977 (??/??/77). On the copy, most of the information was typed, so they are easy to see. However, the day and month (d/m) in the "Admitted as (LANDED)" field cannot be seen clearly due to the officer did not write the day and month down hard enough on the original paper. What should I do? I have the number on the record starting with "H- xxxxxxx". Please advise. Thanks, Kathy
