Tito,

Unfortunately you are in a bad situation. Essential, your application will be handled when the officer / embassy has time - not a priority. Only good thing is if you are still eligible, you will get your visa eventually (maybe 1, 2 or 5 years). This has to do with the changes to the way Canada processed Federal Skilled Workers application - since Feb 2008, only people who are in the 38 categories will be given priority - and if applicants meet the priority, most are encouraged by their lawyers to withdraw the old and submit a new application - takes about 8 months to process, without complications. However, if you chose to stay on the queue, watch the expiration on your job offer. If officer reviews your application and your job offer expires, you will be refused. Immigration Officer has no obligation to inform you on the expiration of your job offer - onus is on you. Good luck.

If you meet NOC "O", "A" or "B" - the 38 job categories, and an arranged employment offer (AEO), withdraw and re-apply.
