Hi,
I had registered for the canadian immigration in May 2008, through an agent. I had not yet got the case number. However, couple of days back I was informed by my agent that my case/file has been returned by the CHC - thanks to the new laws. CHC had sent back the fee which i had paid (cad $550) which I can collect from my agent. My question is - will I be able to get back my initial agency fee also along with this CHC fees? The agency had taken the initial fees on behalf of the pre and post landing services for me; and now because of the above reason, i will not be availing their services? Kindly help. I had registered for canadian immigration from UAE, but currently am in India.

You have to review the retainer agreement you signed with your consultant. And if you need to contact your consultant, put your request in writing ... helpful if the dispute has to go to CSIC for a review and resolution.
