Children born in Canada are Canadian regardless of parents nationality.

children are Canadian, but they can´t claim Canada Child benefits, or other grants if their parents are not Canadian citizen or permanent residents

Your child will be entitled for CCTB and UCCB as long as you stayed here for 18 months. They will based your benefits from your income(CRA assessment).Based from my experience, I´m still a work permit holder and I am receiveing benefits for my child.

i am here since 1999. My two girs born here and they are Canadian citizens. first we applied for refugee and after refugee claim was denied, we filed H&C. Till to date, we are still waiting for the interview call. We (me & my wife) have work permits and we renew them every year. i applied three times for CCTB & UCCB, but they call me and told me that we are not eligible for CCTB or any other child benefit.
please tell me if you know how can we receive these children benefits.
