My wife (permanent resident) and I wish to sponsor her parents for permanent residence status in Canada. I sponsored my wife and supplied the certificate of a Korean divorce(another wife) to officials however neglected to keep a copy/or lost it. Will Canadian immigration officials locate the divorce copy since they have it on file from my wife´s sponsorship application.
Thank you for your reply.

(in reply to: lost Korean divorce papers) Sponsoring Parents require proof that you or your partner is their child. Divorce has nothing to do with that.

lost Korean divorce papers (in reply to: lost Korean divorce papers) I was married twice. My first marriage failed and divorce papers were issued in Korea and sent to Canada Immigration as part of the sponsorship application for my CURRENT wife. My current wife now has permanent residence status and we are living in Canada with no plans to return to Korea. The divorce occurred 10 years ago and I have no recollection of addresses, birthdate, etc of divorced wife.
We wish to sponsor my current wife´s parents to become permanent residents of Canada. Divorce papers from my ex-wife are required as art of the application.
QUESTION: Will immigration officials pull my file and access the Korean divorce papers which were sent with my application to sponsor my current wife?
It seems reasonable to me that they will but .....
