Subject: Changing Landing Destination -Toronto to Montrea
I am an immigration applicant (FSW) expected to land in Canada by mid of 2009. In the application and updates, I had mentioned Toronto as the preferred destination to live.

Can i choose to land and live in Montreal, Quebec?
My purpose to do so is to do my masters at McGill University, Montreal.

I don´t speak French. Would it be difficult for me to find a job in Quebec?

Would i be considered as a domestic student?

Appreciate your help.

You can only land in Quebec, if you can prove that you have made arrangements for stay in another province. In your case, you cannot land unless you lie.

Once you are a PR you can move and work anywhere including Quebec.

People without French skills are able to find jobs in Quebec, but it is difficult.

Quebec needs their own selection certificate as well with the Federal immigration. So, best would be land in Toronto then you can move to Quebec easily.

Without French to get a job is very very difficult.
