Hello everyone,
I am Chilean and I have the Italian dual nationality (I think that´s what it is called in English) I have an Italian passport, and I want to go to Canada on vacation for a month (in July) I was told I could travel with my Italian passport and since Italy is in the Visa Waiver Program I wouldn´t need to apply for the Canadian Visa. Now, all flights from Santiago de Chile to Toronto have a stop in the US. On the airline site where I purchased the tickets says that I should make sure to apply for a US Visa as well. Can you give me any advice? I would REALLY appreciate.

No you do not need to get a visa to enter in USA or Canada if you have a Italian passaport , you will get a visa from immigration in aeroport when you will land in USA or Canada (visa 1 to 3 months )
but in 2005 the Italian governament did change the passaports for Italian people ,they did some passaports with electronic pictures, and if you have a passaport beffore 2005 with a carton piture I think you can not travell in USA or Canada, you must speak with some Italian Ambassy
If when you land the immigration ask why you visiting USA OR Canada tell them turist thats all

Do you think it´s important that my tickets (passenger information) have my Italian passport #? or it doesn´t really matter... I purchased them with my chilean passport, I can change it, but I don´t know if it´s important. Thanks again :)
