Subject: Thanks to Roy - but still need yr further ADVICE..
  Hi Roy, Sharon and all,

I really need yr help to give some advice.
Herewith is my situation :
AOR via CIC S?pore : Aug-2008
Unfortunately, my job is not on the 38 job list issued by Nov-2008.
I just check my status online and found that my file hv been moved to : The Sydney - Nova Scotia C50 office since 11-Mar-2009 and they may contact me soon.

In this case, what will be the next step ? Will C50 office deny my application (as not on the 38 job list)? Or any other consideration ? As everybody knows that the 38 jobs list was issued before I rcvd my AOR, so definitely is not my mistake.

Really appreciate all advices.

Thanks/Jean

Unusual you say your occupation is NOT on the NOC 38 list but your file got transferred to Sydney?????

Read the list again and search all titles because your position most likely on the list.

Hi Roy & all valuable members......
It is true that my job is not NOC 38 list. My job is under NOC 0113. This is what have been stated on my application.

Based on yr valuable experince, pls adv what will be the next step ? Will Sydney C50 office really process and speed up the time to determine their decision ?
FYI, I still haven?t submit my IELTS result.

Thanks again and really appreciate yr advice.....

Jean

just because you did not read the instructions does not mean you automatically avoid the rules.

It was clear that all applications were being held in anticipation of new rules. If you sent in your application anyway, that is your choice but the new rules still apply. If you are not part of the NOC list then you are not part of the NOC list and like others on this forum, will likely get a rejection letter. All application from February 2008 went to Sidney.

New rules came out in January so they are rapidly getting caught up with the 2008 applications. I would suspect a letter will be arriving shortly - one way or another.

The issue is WHAT ARE YOUR MAIN DUTIES?

Before you never posted your interpretation of NOC code

I suggested before to look more closely at the NOC and other occupations that might fit into yours.

0113 Food Purchasing Manager could fit into # 0631 Restaurant and Food Service Managers or # 0632 Accommodation Service Managers which are on the NOC 38 list. Plus, Plus, Plus!

Stop being negative and look at what your employment letter says your duties are!
